late is not never

SO...

i realize that i haven't posted in a while. the first thing i want to say is, thanks for the prayers everyone.

Fr. Regis' story about C, which stands for control, which we do not have...because the Big Man has it - i'm still reflecting upon it. all of my teachers have been very understanding which is definitely cool. that 91 on the clinical psych test didn't hurt either.

eating some humble pie right now, as i told Leah over Starbucks. apple chai is the drink of choice. anyway i don't want random ppl coming up to me out of pity, but that's just my pride. i do sincerely appreciate the people, who know and care, for being there: the House, the guys, and others. you know who you are.

on a side note, Kyle and i have been watching The Black Donnellys on dvd. great show. too bad it was canceled.

Mags helped me finish my webpage yesterday.

Mark Koury, my roommate from last year, is the Paladin for next year. talked to him just now. im confident in him and his abilities. im excited to see their progress next year.

Luz also gave me the contact information for a teaching position. between that and the youth ministry position that im looking into, i now have options. if that's not the answer i was looking for, then i don't know what is. He is good.

that's all i can think of for now...

stay tuned folks

Better late than never. SPRING BREAK!

SO...

where to begin? first of all, spring break was a great time. it started off a lil rocky though. our flight was canceled because our transfer flight was in the ATL and they got hit with snow. lots of it.

late at night. voicemails from Mike while playing Left 4 Dead with my bro. yikes. finally we book an Amtrak train to Jacksonville. 16 hrs down and 13 back? again, yikes.

well at least we got there. we arrived at 7 in the mornin and Casey and Matt picked us up. that train station was no Union Station. thats for sure. Casey's hometown of Atlantic Beach? nice. cool little residential neighborhood. lots of military families. super sweet beach.

on to the cruise.
it was a little cool on the first day. first day, beat boxing an rapping on the deck with Case. the entire group: 15 of us. Katie, Ashley, Lyndsey, Kate, and Emily had a room. Matt, Robert, Kev, Joseph, and Case in the next room. Craig, Nick, Mike, Kyle and I had the other room. Those rooms are not made for 5 people! friggin cot was actually comfortable though. our room had 2 single beds, 2 pull out beds from the wall over the other 2, and my cot.

anyway. the boat was fun. we used the gym often. sauna and steam room on the last day with nick, craig, and the hotel activites director. interesting.

met a couple other Catholics on the cruise. random right?

a lot of tanning, hot tubs, gym time, and of course eating. not to mention, sleeping in was nice. food was 24/7 and lots of variety. breakfast and lunch were good, but dinner was the best. thanks Russell and Jessie. good guys.
(last night of dinner = 4 appetizers, an entree, and 2 desserts. go big or go home, right?) 2 entrees every other night.

my favorite day. key west. great weather this day. sunny and warm. we rented bikes for 5 bucks. can't beat that. Matt and Emily were fishing, so the 13 of us were a bike gang for the day. cool lil town even if it is designed for tourists. southern most point in the US. really blue water. rocky beach though. stopped in Irish Kevin's with Kevin, Rob, and Joe right before we got back on the boat.

btw, lost 60 bucks gambling. no gambling.

the bahamas was cool. this was the 2nd and last cool day of the week. literally. in temperature. of course, our "friends" the SC girls were trying to get our attention again that day. no dice for them though.
best part = Atlantis hotel. sheesh. fish tank in the main atrium. decent casino, although no poker.
got close to sharks. giant manta ray. bought a vitamin water for friggin 6 bucks. sheesh.
apprently staying there was cheap at the time. only $450 a night. our cruise was $390 for 5 days. big difference, eh?

overall thoughts.
carnival was nice for a first time. royal caribbean for sure next time though. hear it's nicer.
got a little motion sick wed night from all the rocking. still went dancing though haha.
other than that everyone was fine. thanks emily for the dramamine.

at the end of the week on saturday, back to Casey's place. his family loves buicks btw. pool, poolside hammock, good stuff. next time maybe i won't get lost on a walk on the beach by myself. gone 2 1/2 hrs. kyle said i shouldve borrowed a cell phone and called my cell phone that i left charging.
that would've made sense.
instead i walked everywhere else and didnt call. walked down to a hotel near 1st st. walked all the way back to 16th st. btw, Casey lives on 11th. The only boardwalk that i didn't check. sheesh.

back to the train station. btw, people in the south smoke way more than the ppl in DC. way too much for me. especially after all the smoke everynight on the cruise in the casino and shows. enough of that ish. bump smoking.

train ride was ok. lost at egyptian rat screw of course. slept better round 2 though. at least we had electrical outlets this time, right Mike?

picked up by Dad the next morning at 7 am of course. again. off to home for the day and back to school by 9 pm Mass. forgot my House keys, and had to go back home and then back to school. again. next time, don't forget the keys!

that's spring break in a nutshell. oh btw, lots of dancing on the cruise. interesting girls. Renee (Craig's co-worker) and the SC girls. weird. that's all i have for stories. the rest hafta come from Kyle and Craig on the last night of the cruise. lol.

NOW onto studying for clinical psych and a reflection to type. wonderful.

btw, note to self, The-Dream is the ish right now on my ipod.
