Whoops! First post in months...

I can't believe it. Have I neglected my blog for this long???

Btw all, the House email chain that Matt started, definitely made me week look up, so, love you guys.

No wonder Kara looks at it as much as I do. Haha.

I HAD to post today because all the small things are showing me how good God is and how much He loves me. Sometimes it's hard to tell, truly. Today is not one of those days. It's so easy to tell.

Last night we had a crew parents meeting so I didn't get to make a lunch for today. Lo and behold, my coworker cooked too much food last night and brought me lunch today. Wow. It's a giant container of Spanish rice and chicken. Delicious!
Plus, the pain that I was having in my leg the past few days has gone away. Phew. I thought maybe I was getting a clot like my Dad because I sit a good portion of the day at work and I sit in the launch while I coach both in the morning and afternoon for hours. Thank you Baby Jesus, quoting Ricky Bobby.

Well it's April. The year has truly flown by so far.

We are in the midst of crew season - halfway in and we already have 1 ribbon for the women's first eight. 3rd place in the first race!
Last year, this boat only got one ribbon all season long so we've already tied that and I want to get the girls more ribbons.
We've made finals (which is a big deal) 2/3 times now, which is a huge improvement over last year for the ladies. My season goal is the same - to make finals at States which qualifies us for Nationals.

This week I seat-raced a girl who unfortunately lost her seat (she got taken out of the starting lineup). It was hard emotionally for all involved but I hope she bounces back, because I want her in the boat next year for sure if not this year.
(side note: hopefully my senior captains will stay healthy. sigh)

I am also working a 3rd job now. I now coach master's rowing. Now some people think that I am coaching grad students. That is not the case at all. Master's level equals adult level. The men I coach are a self-declared group of ornery old men. They are great though. I coach for them in the mornings from 5-7am, so it makes for early mornings again. Oh, how I miss sleep.

It's ok though because the 2 crew seasons(high school and master's) only overlap for 2 months. After that, I will be teaching summer school and coaching in the morning which leaves lots of free time and more time to sleep.
I am making a lot more money though. The less I worry about money, the more I seem to make. In Your hands, Big Guy. The guy ^ there.

A lot is going on nowadays.

I had an interview at another school, and it went really well, but I haven't heard anything yet. Would be cool to work with Julianne though.

If I stay where I am, hopefully more doors will open to me. Being offered a summer school position meant a lot to me.

Weddings are approaching. Chuch gets married at the end of this month. Casey gets married in July. Really excited all around.

Songs of the moment are:
